Having been in the motor industry for over 35 years, it's truly amazing at how far commercial vans have come since I started.

I sold the Ford Falcon Van and Ute and Escort Van  - no air bags, no power steering, some with no Air Conditioning and they'd only recently fitted 4 wheel disc brakes. They were cheap, build quality was questionable, but when they were fitted out with curtains and a mattress, they became the cult car of that generation.

How things have changed - ABS Brakes, Electronic Brake Control, Traction Control, Electronic Safety Program, Diesel Engines, 5 star NCAP safety ratings, seating for up to 7 and economy to die for.
