I had the unique opportunity to see the soon to be released Viper in late 2010 at the international Chrysler Dealer Conference. It was breathtaking and my only wish that we'd get to see it in Australia. What Hope? Not too much, but Sergio Marchionne did indicate that it was a world car.

The new Viper will get an exclusive Stryker Logo replacing the traditional Dodge Ram head. Does this mean a new high performance division within Chrysler? Your guess is as good as mine, but one thing's for sure, the Viper SRT will be a stonker - 8.7 litre V10 engine with plenty of go, reputed to be 450kw. Chrysler Super Car. OORA

Stryker logo gives 2013 SRT Viper some venom

A short time ago, SRT released a first teaser image of the new 2013 Viper and one of the interesting aspects of the teaser was the logo that was central to the image. This logo has now been revealed by Chrysler's performance division as the Stryker.

They have also used the opportunity to show the previous incarnations of the fanged viper for comparison. It started with the Sneaky Pete that ran from 1992 up until 2002 before being replaced by the Fangs which were a mainstay until 2010.

We will get our first chance to see the new logo on the front of the 2013 SRT Viper when it is unveiled at the New York Auto Show in April.
