Don't hold your breath waiting for this new Chrysler. What seems to be a great styling exercise for the European market, the Chrysler part of this is really a Lancia, owned by Fiat.
As Chrysler dealers in Australia, we've been promised that as the alliance between Fiat and Chrysler firms and rolls out around the world, that we'll get more and more of these types of vehicles.
Chrysler Ypsilon Black & Red Edition announced (UK)
Chrysler Ypsilon Black & Red Edition 16.2.2012 - Starts at £12,750
Chrysler has announced plans to offer a special edition Ypsilon in the United Kingdom.
Dubbed the Black & Red, the model unsurprisingly features a black and red exterior with tinted windows, fog lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Interior changes are limited, but include black / red seats, air conditioning and Blue&Me Bluetooth connectivity.
Under the hood, three different engines are available. Petrol choices include a 0.9-liter TwinAir two-cylinder with 85 PS (63 kW / 84 hp) and 145 Nm (107 lb-ft) of torque as well as a 1.2-liter four-cylinder with 69 PS (51 kW / 68 hp) and 102 Nm (75 lb-ft) of torque. The sole diesel engine is a 1.3-liter MultiJet which produces 95 PS (70 kW / 94 hp) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque.
The Ypsilon Black & Red will be launched later this month and pricing starts at £12,750 (OTR).
